Brethren,

We started our Lodge’s activity early on October 02 by welcoming Mr. Bruce Christiansen and Mr. Brian Brigham in our Lodge and Fraternity as Entered Apprentice Masons, who we can now call them our Brothers. Thanks to them, we had huge and delicious sandwiches and in a humorous way, I said it was a big break from our usual Chinese or Filipino food, our candidates usually bring after their conferral’s reception.
On our Stated Meeting, October 9, we balloted and approved the applications of Mr. Arsenio Sy, Mr. Regalado Tiongson and Mr. Edwin Abad to receive the degrees of Masonry in our Lodge.

Our Secretary then read the new applications of Mr. Michael Bacelis,Virgilio Ampoloquio, Leodegario Teves and Constante Firme III without any objection from the floor.
On October 16, we conferred upon Brother Christopher Pineza the Sublime Degree of Master Mason and let us all congratulate him. Kudos to all the Brothers who performed splendidly in the first section in the positions in which they are qualifying for. We all looked good in our tuxedos and black barongs. We had one of our well-attended degree conferral with a total of 42 Brothers present including guests from Yokosuka, Silver Gate Three Stars, Southwest, Crossroads and Lemon Grove Lodges. There were 8 first time visitors from Lemon Grove Lodge and 1 from Southwest Lodge.
Due to the threat of the wildfires which swept thru San Diego County on October 21-25 and the forced evacuation of residents, I cancelled the scheduled October 16 conferral upon Brother Benjamin Cueto. We proceeded to confer upon him and Brother Carlos Mora the Fellow Craft Degree on October 30. Let us all give them our heartfelt congratulations. Also, let us applaud the First Timers for the wonderful jobs of Brother Simeon Alonzo in delivering the Staircase Lecture as well as Brother George Milious in giving the Second Degree Lecture.

I would like to take special mention of the good intentions of WBrother Eddie Isaac during the wildfires which threatened a huge section of San Diego County. He now resides in Las Vegas and during the crisis, he offered his 2 vacant houses in San Diego to any Brother who might need and use them in their evacuation. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, WBrother Eddie.

Brethren, let us attend our 11th Installation of the New Officers for the ensuing Masonic Year 2007. Let us support them in running the activities and affairs of the Lodge.
